I got a TICKET
For talking on my cell I got a 100 dollar ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's CT for you....they are really strict in New Haven. I didn't get a ticket but a police officer (several) have yelled at me. My car even has bluetooth through the speakers but I am usually too lazy to turn it on. Sorry to hear that. Glad you had your seatbelt on!!!

Talking and texting is banned here while driving. NO NO!!!! It's still not as bad as my 237.00 speeding ticket

wow, i know its a matter of time before they start ticketing for us for that too. Blue tooth is definately the way to go

I know that I was wrong but I really think he could have given me a verbal warning. I told him that my earpiece was not charged fully and died mid call and he told me that I should have hung up. I even showed him the earpiece. He told me that Icould plead not guilty and show the court that I do have the earpiece and the court will dismiss the 100.00 fine. I guess that is what I am going to do since I do not have 100.00 right now.

Karen, $ 237.00 for a speeding ticket???? Ouch, that hurts,lol.

It's illegal up here too. In fact a woman and her daughter were killed by a car driven by a woman talking on her cell phone here last year!

WOW, sorry about the ticket. I only WISH we have that law here! The only place you can't talk on your phone while driving is on the bases. If we had no talking on phone laws in general it would stop A LOT of accidents, now we just need a law that stops people from putting on makeup while they are driving.

It actually IS illegal in Texas, but they don't enforce it. I wish they did. Someone rear-ended RIck while he was sitting at a stop light. She was so busy talking she wasn't paying attention and just rammed him! It causes accidents on the freeway all the time.
