What type of hair do you have?

I've learned that it doesn't matter how nice a woman's hair appears, if you comment on it, she'll have a million complaints about it.
So, what type of hair do you have and what are it's issues?

Mine is just over processed ... it's dry and brittle when it's wet. I also have super thick hair so when I went to get my perm, the lady had to triple stack the rods in some areas which caused the bottom stack to not get saturated well ... anyway, I have some not so curly areas around my face.
I feel like it is so obvious that I keep my hair pulled back most of the time.

Re: What type of hair do you have?

I have a lot of hair. My hair dresser tells me I have just the right amount of hair, that it's the perfect thickness. My main problem is that my hair used to be perfectly straight, not even a hint of frizziness. After I had Travis, it's turned curly and that's been hard to get used to. I use salon products and have a Chi flat iron, but living here in the humid south, sometimes it just has a mind of its own.
Elaine, you should try Aussie 3 minute miracle on your hair and then buy a leave in conditioner (I like the spray kind).

Re: What type of hair do you have?

I love my hair. It's thick and wavy. It curls easily. It's my blotchy skin I don't like. My face has very uneven pigment ever since I had babies. I am not willing to use skin bleaches and can't afford to have a chemical peel, so I guess I am stuck. Luckily make up mainly covers it.

My hair sux. It's 80% grey which means lotsa coloring. Not only that but it's thin and the ends are dry no matter how much product and deep conditioning that I use. I certainly wasn't blessed with good hair but so far my kids are.

I never woulda guessed you are grey Krista!
I just started going grey about 2 years ago and so far it's only sporatic little patches of it. I've been coloring since I was 14 though.

Yeah, they've increased over the past few years.
I started getting grey hair when I was just 16. The year John had his affair the grey greatly increased-go figure!

I love my hair, I just wish it was a tad thicker. My friends say my hair should be in the pantene commercials LOL.... I use to bleach my hair all the time and I really ruined it but once it got long enough I cut off all the nasty hair and finally my hair started to actually look good.

Re: What type of hair do you have?

My hair is long and perfectly straight. But it also has absolutely NO BODY. It takes to perms well, but they usually over perm it and make it too curly when all I want is body and wave. For years, my hair was thick, tons of hair. but since the worst of the troubles with Drew last november, I have started losing it. My ponytail is less than half the width it was just a year ago. Thankfully I had enough that it doesn't look too this. But I am starting to thin in the widows peak area - one side is worse than the other. Nothing I can do about it either. I told Rick if i could afford it, I'd get some Rogaine for women. How vain is that?

I've colored my haor off and on for about 8 years. It's only been the last 4 years (since Drew started giving me grey hair) that I've been pretty regular about it. Almost all of my grey is in the front along my hairline/forehead. And it's resistant to color, so I put the color on there first, leave it for 10 minutes and then do the rest (30 more minutes).

And forget trying to curl it in this humidity! I curled it for our anniversary and 15 minutes later, 90% of it had come out. It's bad enough not to have any body, but toss in the humidity and nobody's hair does what they want it to.

Curly. I hate it. Especially since I used to have perfectly straight hair...
