The commercials are annoying me lol. Has anyone tried this? Just looks like the kids are memorizing the words not learning them...

It is annoying! Especially since they are on so many channels early in the morning

It's definitely word recognition and not actually understanding how letters (sounds) form together to make a word. I think it's kinda cool but agree that the commercials are really irritating.

My friend Tisha has this for her 2yo, Bryce, and she loves it. I haven't seen it, so i don't know. But Bryce seems to like it.

Even i don't like those useless commercials because it doesn't make sense to make 1 year old kid to read something which he don't even understand. That is insane.

I see I haven't missed anything by not viewing this commerical. Sometimes not getting any stations is such a blessing. My thing is reading and learning to read should be fun. Flash cards are not my idea of fun. I am lucky. I never did much of that flash card stuff and both my kids are bookalcholics.
