Scared Future Daddy

Thread Starter
Hello,
WOW. I am going through the hardest point of my life. I think that there is nothing better than hearing that your wife is going to carry your child and help bring it into this world. BUT man what can you do. My wife is starting to do some crazy stuff eat weird and be a little cranky. I just want to be the best father that I can be. I have been doing some research to know what is going on. I think that for me I would love to know what is going to happen next.
What else can I do?
Help me
I don't want her to kill me!

Thanks,
Juan

Re: Scared Future Daddy

"YEs, Dear! Whatever you want!" That's your best answer to whatever she says!

WHen they talk about pregnant women being hormornal, they aren't kidding. Some get it worse than others. Her mood swings could be mild or off the wall. DOn't feel bad, she doesn't understand ther either! It's hard for the guys when we get like that, but my hubby said the best thing he ever did was take the advice of a friend of his and just went along with whatever I said. I remember him being very accomodating, he remembers me being strange! LOL! Don't worry - it doesn't last forever!

Ditto.

Just try to be understanding, even when you don't really understand. Remember that it's temporary. There some father to be books in some of the major book stores that might interest you(or your local library).

Try to be understanding and caring, after all she is going through something which you never went through. And all this is temporary so just chill

Re: Scared Future Daddy

You're not going to be the first one who worries! It can seem hard at times to accept what seems to be happening when your wife goes through swings in emotion and has strange things happening to her body- and it can affect your relationship, but be sure not to let it all come between you as much of it is quite normal and to be expected really.. And as some others have said, it doesn't last forever!

I wish your wife and you all the best throughout her pregnancy! It's a very exciting (*and nervous*) time for you.. try to enjoy it
