Seen any good movies lately?

I'm looking for something to watch. We rented the Watchmen the other day. It was disappointing. We were really looking forward to it, but it was not that great. I am looking for grown up movies to watch. I can always find stuff for my kids.

I agree. I usually really like Superhero movies, but that one was beyond bad.

I like Scifi, Action/adventure and comedy. I can't stand chick flicks. No Tyler Perry movies for me! Sometimes I like westerns, art flicks and foriegn films. Mainly it's just drama and chick flicks I can't stand.

I got all excited about Knowing and it wasn't that great either. Unless people are taken by aliens, Nazis, or terrorists, I am not a big fan of those kidnapped movies either.

Have you seen 7lbs Lenora? I have Netflix and watch a lot of movies but I'm with you ... there hasn't been much out worth watching lately.
I got Coraline last night and although it is a children's movie, it's also Neil Gaiman, and I'm excited about seeing it.

My kids intially found it a little scary, but they talk about it constantly now. Kids, eh? It was pretty good. I think it is as good for parents as it is for kids. The message is there is a lot more to being a good parent than being able to spoil a child with things. The little girl in this story is clearly very poor if you think about it for a little while. It's not hit you over the head poor, but after awhile you think, "she didn't have hardly any toys","the mom is shopping clearance at a second hand store", etc.

Raymond thought it was alil scarey but he liked it. something like Monster House thrill.. have youve seen Hes Just Not Into you.. thats a great movie I thought.. my hubby liked it too.. i said better not give you any ideas, lol. We watched YES MAN with Jim Carrrey.. its a cute funny movie.

Thanks for reminding me, I have yet to watch YES MAN, I love Jim Carrey. Makes me laugh all the time

I just watched Knowing and liked it although the ending was a little weird.
Lenora, I bet you would love Push! I just watched it last night and it reminds me a lot of Heroes which is kinda like a superhero movie.

Yes man was pretty good.

I just saw Coraline a that movie was creepy but good!

I also bought Push and Knowing, haven't watched knowing yet but Push was very good also.

Yea.....WATCHMEN.... waste of time.

Usually when I see a new movie that looks good I gotta buy it LOL thank goodness I didn't get watchmen. I did by burn before reading or whatever that movie is... that is just as bad of a movie.

I agree. Burn before reading was awful. I watched Chased by Dinosaurs online. I put it on the queue to share with the rest of my family. It was good. Kind of Steve Irvinish. http://www.amazon.com/Chased-Dinosau.../dp/B00017LVSM
