super fussy baby

SO a couple of days ago when Jordan left, Jerren slept from the time we left the airport which was at 6 and only woke up to eat and then woke up at 4am....

Ever since then he has been..... fussy, so fussy it is bothering me and preventing me from getting things done. It is only when he is sleepy but it can last hours until he falls asleep ( I usually take him into the bed and pat him on his back until he sleeps) He screams his little head off and cries and it doesn't stop... I feel bad for him since I can't really help him, he doesn't want to eat, doesn't have a dirty diaper, NOTHING.... he just is fussy when he is sleepy... How can I stop the hours of screaming and stuff? I noticed if it is his nap time and he is taking a nap in his swing he will cry until he see's me in front of him then smile...then cry when I am not in front of him!

What can I do?

Re: super fussy baby

Mom, he is training you! If he stop crying when he sees you, then he is probably just wanting attention. If you give in all the time, then this is a pattern he will continue because he is getting what he wants. Some babies are just fussier than others at bedtime. Ally was (and still is) that way.

I knew it!

I do ignore him sometimes but I feel bad when he starts crying even louder. How long should I let him be?

Re: super fussy baby

Don't ask me, I was never the mom who could let my kids cry it out.

Re: super fussy baby

Neither am I... little man pulls on my heart strings when he cries.
