Halloween Costumes

Are you making Halloween costumes this year? I bought Cara's, but am making Kate's and mine. She wants to be wonder Woman. The costumes she liked were $40. That's more than I wanted to spend, so I am making them.

Re: Halloween Costumes

We haven't put a lot of thought into costumes yet. I'd like to figure out something the girls (Grace & Ary) can wear that kinda go together.

Re: Halloween Costumes

Jaedyn's heart is set, her b-day is the 28th of October so she wants a Dora B-day cake and therefore also wants to be her. That one is easy. Jimmy wanted to be Indiana Jones then changed his mind to a werewolf. So not sure yet. IJ is easy, khaki pants plaid shirt, vest, brown hat and he already has the whip.

I am still tempted to get it but it is kinda expensive, maybe I will just go with the 8 dollar costumes wall-mart has.

Re: Halloween Costumes

I bought my boys one at Walmart this past weekend. They're going to be Wolverine and Captain America. They were pretty cheap -- only $12. I think I spent $20 last year, on sale. I'm not "talented" enough to make any.

I'm right there with ya ...
I'm not a fan of store bought costumes BUT I don't even have the most basic sewing ability.

Re: Halloween Costumes

Ally and I went online to Shindigz yesterday. Found her a Vampira costume, reg $35, marked down to $15, got it for half price. Heck the shipping turned out to be more than the costume! Still, the total was only $15 and change, about what I would spend at Walmart. And it's a much better costume. Just need to find her some black shoes. Thinking of getting her some black boots and letting her wear them.

Re: Halloween Costumes

has everyone got their costumes now? I just finished Kate's WW costume today. The pneumonia really slowed me down. I was going to go as a gypsy, but I don't have time to make the costume. I have my cape from last year, so I think I will go as a magician. Dh is going as a sith lord to Cara's Yoda.
