Am I considered a WAHM?

I don't really work AT home but I do have my own business and I just had to brag a lil bit!
First off-I decided to start my own business instead of going off Shell's Maid for You company and have named it Rotella Residential Cleaning. I had the cards made up yesterday and can't wait for them to get here!
Also, I had to start my company clientelle up from scratch after Parker was born and it is slowly but surely building up nicely mostly with a lot of great referrals from my Dad! He is a real estate agent that works for Prudential Alliance and has been throwing lots of one time, final cleans my way which resulted in me being put on Prudential's top vendor list!! This means that all agents will see my name and business when looking for cleaning services! I am hoping that this will generate a lot of business!
So far I only have 3 regular clients but this should open up the door to get a lot more. My goal is to be making enough $ so that Jim can stay home with Parker for at least the next 10mo since he isn't working but is getting unemployment (Zee went out of business). I would love for PJ to stay out of daycare for his first year of life. This would also save me around $600 a mo in daycare costs. Not to mention that Jim has taken good care of me financially the past 3-4mo and I would like to get independant again and give him the chance to relax and not worry about getting a job right away. He stresses about money and taking care of PJ and I.
So, wish me luck and thanks for letting me brag

Re: Am I considered a WAHM?

I would say , first of all, go at it slow, you have a new baby, and the last thing you want is to burn out.
You can always pick up more as the baby gets older.
Keep it though!

Re: Am I considered a WAHM?

First, yes you are considered a WAHM. If your business is based out of your haome, you are a WAHM.

Second, CONGRATS! Being put on Prudentials Top Vendor list is awesome! This should bring you lots of business and referrals!

Third, I think it's great that you are wanting to have Jim stay home with Parker, at least for the first year. Don't see too many guys willing to do that, which I think is great! You guys are such great parents!
