Upholstered Headboard

I'm finally getting around to this project idea that I've had for a long time.
It got a jumpstart when an badly done upholstered headboard came into the store ... it was ugly so it eventually got knocked down to .99 which is when I went in and bought it. I tore all the old upholstery off of it and have the basic full size plywood frame from underneath.
I have a white Eddie Bauer quilt that I absolutely love ... It has 2 different shades of green ferns on it ... that I want to match the headboard too.
This is what I've chosen ...
I'm hoping it's not too difficult to make the lines straight.

I have thought about making one of these for my bed... just haven't ever gotten there yet

Re: Upholstered Headboard

It's actually pretty easy to make. There are tons of ideas on net. Just remember, go slow and take you time.

No updates yet because I had to order the fabric ... waiting, waiting, waiting.

OH! On making the lines straight, just use one of those carpenter thingys - a level. You can pick up an el cheapo at the dollar store and they work pretty well. But they really aren't that expensive at places like Lowe's or Home Depot. You can get a decent one for between $5 and $10.
