Child Having Regular Nosebleeds, Anyone?

I was wondering if there are others out there that have kids that have regular nosebleeds. Regular meaning a couple a week. It will often come and go. He will go without one for a while, then they start up again.

If so, have you taken them to the doctor, and what did they say?

I was going to make an appointment, but I don't want to go for them to tell me I am just being silly and it is no big deal.

All of my kids had nose bleeds at a young age, like anywhere from age 5 to say 8 , maybe.
Usually the cause is from dry air, and/or nose picking.
You could always mention it at the next doctors visit though, to ease your mind.
There could be the small chance it could be something serious, but your doctor would determine that

Like Cheyanne said, nose bleeds are extremely common in children and the culprit is often just dry air or allergies that cause irritation inside the nose ... because the nose has tons of tiny blood vessels just below the surface of the skin, it isn't difficult to irritate them.
Very rarely, bleeds can be caused by a blood disorder and if you are worried, you should consult your doctor.
