I am a little sick of hearing everyone who does not like the health care plan is a racist. I would not agree that opponnets to Obama's health plan are racist. I imagine the vast majority of people probably like the idea of everyone paying the Medicaid price which is much lower than the insured price. I imagine insurance companies would go for the whole lower price thing, too. However, our local hospital administrator is dead set against lowering health care prices and I think it has a lot more to do with his lovely costs way more than a Rolls Royce or limo car than race.

I was really not nuts about the health plan when it said I should be paying for my VA care which I was promised in my contract with the military when I enlisted and I feel I have thoroughly paid for with my life already. I am not so nuts about the latest I have heard which is a $400 a month price tag. If people had $400 for insurance, they would already have insurance! I have really mixed feelings about this whole health plan business. Sometimes, I wish they would just drop it and move on. We've got a lot of other problems that need attention. IE bringing some jobs into this country instead of just extending unemployment over and over. someday the unemployment ride is going to have to end and there are no jobs for people when it does. We need to do something about that asap.

Unfortunately, I think big business is trying to influence American politics by trying to convince people everything that is good for big business is good for the people which is not necessarily always the case. Not just on this isssue, but on many issues.
