The Worst Movie Foods (and What to Eat Instead)

Catching the latest Blockbuster on the big screen is an event. It’s not just the digital surround sound that makes it exciting, though—the pre-movie trip to the concession stands plays just as big a role. Unfortunately, traditional movie munchies can turn any film into a horror flick. The truth is that all that mindless snacking during your show can add hundreds of calories to your daily intake.

Wow, by being allergic to chocolate and dairy, I miss most of these on this list.

When I go with the girls, we get a movie meal and an extra water and split it between the three of us. I don't think we'll be going to the movies that much this year, because from an article I read on ABC News, movie theaters are good places to get sick. After being sick 7 of the last 10 months, I am sick of being sick!

We don' go to the theatre much because of the cost. I'm cheap and even the matinee prices ($6 around here) are too much once you add in drinks & pop corn. I can't take the 4 of us to the movies for less than $50 or $60! We prefer to rent movies and have movie nights at home. Besides, with Ally being ADHD, she still has trouble sitting thru and entire movie without getting up 4 or 5 times - usually to go potty!

we dont' go to the movies either....too darned expensive. For us to go out for a night without snacks is $50....once you add the popcorn and pop or whatever you are looking at another $30 or so. I can think of a lot better things to do for $100.....like renting a ton of movies and snuggling at home on my couch with the kids.
