Why am I not ovulating?

Just wondering about why I'm not ovulating? My husband and I decided to start trying again a few months ago. I was trying to just go w/ the flow but that is SO not me. So I finally broke down and got some OPK, they look just like pregnancy tests and you pee on the end (I'm sure you all know what I"m talking about) and based off my cycle (Sept 19, then Oct 18) I should be ovulating today but the stupid little stick says I am not ovulating and nor will I be w/ in 24 - 48 hours. When I got pregnant w/ my daughter I had to take Clomid but back then I wasn't even having regular periods and I have been having regular periods since she was born. Are the tests that accurate? Should I visit my OBGYN to get a work up? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Why am I not ovulating?

Try again in a few days. It couldbe you got a bad test or your cycle could be off a few days. But if you feel the need, by all means, go see the dr! It certainly can't hurt.

Re: Why am I not ovulating?

That ovulating on day 14 is just an average. Some women ovulated early or late in their cycle. I was like that.
