Maths Teaching Ideas - Shape

I haven't even started on shapes since colors are not going so well.

will teach your child colors, shapes and many
other great things!
It also speaks to your child using his own name! I've bought it and it's really amazing:

we just use everything around us as a learning center. I ask them "can you tell me what shape this?" and when they do it right, I get so excited for them and even when they don't get it I'm not negative about it and tell them to try again. With my 3 year old we also used flashcards but my 2 year old doesn't really like them. We also have one of those toys where she has to put a shape in the hole with the same shape into this box thing... lol sorry if that was confusing... but my 2 year old LOVES that toy. lol

I think you mean a 'shape sorter' mama23kiddos. I agree with you though everything around has shapes and colors to them. It is just a case of pointing things out explaining and asking them questions.
