NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Target is hoping to lure this year's Black Friday shoppers with $3 toasters and coffeemakers, deep deals on high-definition televisions, and discounts of 50% on clothes and toys, according to a Web site that says it has received a leaked copy of the retailer's circular.

Re: Target's Black Friday bet: $3 appliances

I would LOVE to know who is having what toys discounted. I am limiting the kids to 5 things, 1 of which will be a complete outfit - pants, top, & shoes. 1 will be a new bike, which they probably won't get until tax refund time. The other will be things they really want, if we can find them. Rick and I aren't buying for each other and we aren't buying for anyone in the family except the kids. Period. Just can't afford it.

I wish we had those kinds of sales up here..... We get boxing day sales (the day after xmas) but those sales are not anywhere near as good as they used to be......and I would much rather have those sales before xmas so we can put those gifts under the tree.....my kids still believe in Santa, i think that they would be disappointed if we didn't have presents under the tree for them.

Re: Target's Black Friday bet: $3 appliances

Lenora just posted some $10 deals that Walmart, Target and Toys-R-Us are doing NOW! $10 toys and DVD's. TRU is listing 6000 toys for $10. Walmart and Target both have quite a few, plus $9 books. Hopefully with those prices, I can start buying now and the kids in the family will get more than a $10 GC. Plus, most of them are offering free shipping if you buy a certain amount. Some you don't even need that.

They'll be having online sales, too, Lisa. you don't have to miss it entirely.

Lisa, check the sales for the stores in AZ. National stores, like Walmart and Target, will have the same sales everywhere, so you can still get in on the deals! But online will be sooooooo much easier! I will be online and ready to go the second Rick's paycheck goes thru at midnight Thursday night/Friday morning.
