Lingering dry cough??

Not sure started out as a fever nasty wet phlemy cough. Turned into super dry non-productive cough. He (jimmy) seems to have a sore crusted nose which leads me to believe it may be sinus infection (sinustitus sp?) However, I know that nasty h1n1 has some of the same symptoms. It's been 2 solid weeks. Anyone else had this???

Re: Lingering dry cough??

I just had a sore throat for a few weeks, which eventually lead to a chest cold.

I'd honestly go to the doctor just to be sure.

There is also an acute rhinovirus going around. he could have that. We've had both H1N1 and the rhinovirus. It's hard to say which is worst. They have different treatments though, so you may want to take him by the clinic to be sure which one it is.

Yep, sinus infection. He's on antibiotics as of last night. He's feeling better already after 2 doses and I used the humidfier last night in his room.
