Party for 5 yr old

Looking for ideas and activities to make my daughter's fifth birthday special. It will be a summer party and it will be held at a park or Lake becuase we live in a little apartment. We are renting a covered picnic area though. I know they will have playground equipment but we wanted some special activities for the kids to do and a good theme. (I refuse to do Barbie again this year)

Try a underwater theme. Have someone bring one of those cheap plastic pools if you can't swim in the lake. Hang blue steamers to stand for water (try for several different shades). Pre-print some tropical fish for them to color and decorate (glitter, yarn, sequins, etc). Maybe get some of the bath paints so they can draw on each other. Some squirt guns (I hate mentioning this, tho). Get that sunscreen that goes on in colors and lather everyone up good.

Thoes are very good ideas. I will be having a 5th birthday party for my son Johnathan, but his is in November.
You can always try an old favorite too...pin the tail on the doney. It should be a blast seeing your daughter and her friends attempt to put the tail where it goes. Everyone would have fun playing that.
