Do you go look at lights with your kids?

Do you go look at all the Christmas lights with your kids during this time of year?

We do. Usually siometime during the week before Christmas when we know everyone that is going to decorate has done so. It takes us about 1 to 2 hours. It's lots of fun, especially for Ally. Drew used to love, but apparently he's too cool at 15 to enjoy that kind of thing anymore. LOL!

I scoped out some houses Saturday night and drove by with Jaedyn but want to do an evening of driving and looking with the kids. It's fun, our downtown has some neat stuff as well.

We always go looking at lights on Christmas Eve with the girls while Mrs. Claus brings them their new jammies. This year might be tricky because we will be at MIL's in the country on Christmas Eve and Day... need to do some scoping out

yep we usually do a few times between now and christmas its lots of fun to do with the kids....especially when you can manage to find the really really good ones

Yes, we do. Anytime we are out after dark, we will at least drive through neighborhoods around our house as well as through our subdivision. We also have one house locally that really goes all out, and every year we plan a trip to see those lights. It's close by but not on our way to or from anywhere we go regularly. There's also another house close to Kyle's aunt and uncle's house (where we go on Christmas Eve) that is really decorated, and we usually go by that house before we go home.

Only what we see on our normal drive ... It's quite a bit though. I remember being bored stiff for the few hours of driving to look at lights when I was a kid.

We don't go to other neighborhoods. The ones that really go all out are not close, so we stick to our subdivision. How long we are out depends on the # of houses decorated and how long we feel like being out. When Ally starts getting bored, we always head home. I don't want it to be a chore and no one enjoys it when she is being crabby! LOL!
