Swine Flu - Is the scare over?

It seems to be here ... people are still getting the vaccination but the buzz has died down. I think it's because of the early season flu that went through this area ... back in October I think it was, EVERYONE was sick. Classrooms were empty and doctor's offices couldn't handle the load.
I wonder though, if we are setting ourselves up for disaster in letting our guard down. Afterall, flu season is just starting...

I don't think swine flu has much kick left, but that does not mean seasonal flu is not a concern.

Re: Swine Flu - Is the scare over?

we've been warned to watch out for another wave over here in Oz, and then again in march (when our flu season starts), I got the vaccine when I got from NZ and I'm glad I did I've come out of hospital with what is doing a very good impression of the flu and I'd hate to have to worry about Swine flu as well

Re: Swine Flu - Is the scare over?

I think the SENSATIONALISM has died down. I would still keep up with the frequent handwashing and staying home when sick, etc. There could very well be another wave of it in the future.....

Meh, I haven't been worried about it any, and I haven't noticed anyone around here talking about it.

Re: Swine Flu - Is the scare over?

We actually had a friend who died from it (confirmed). It definitely makes you more conscious of things that should be basic hygiene habits anyway, not just because of the "swine flu". Well, you KWIM....

The scare of HINI is almost over. Many hospital has created awareness
and many organisations helped . But even now I hear its effects in the news.
