My dd's 3rd birthday is right after Christmas. I blew all my good ideas on Christmas. Now I am for her birthday. I already got her a Dora doll and that's it so far. She likes everything for a day or two.

Re: Need ideas

The only thing my daughter likes and continues to like is music. I bought her a cheap radio/cd player and the Taylor Swift CD. I will burn all the good songs along with a few Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga as well on a cd. This was is she ruins them all I have to do is reburn....In addition I have new music for my ipod LOL...

Re: Need ideas

I think Discovery Kids sells a decently priced MP3/Boombox for little kids. Gracie got her Kid Tough MP3 player last year and it was a hit.

I still say puzzles. Get one of the ones that says "Jumbo Floor Puzzle" ... you may have to do it with her a few times but she should pick it up pretty quickly.

Re: Need ideas

What about building on something you get her for Xmas? EX: I'm getting Ally the Hannah Montana movie for Xmas. For her birthday she is getting the soundtrack to the movie.

If you got her playdoh, why not get her a set of cookie cutters from the dollar store to use with it? I did that for Ally and she loved it!

Re: Need ideas

We took her to the party store where she choose a Disney princess birthday. I can't believe I said okay to that either. She likes Cinderella, so I got her a Cinderella horse set. I also got her a Dora doll and a huge box of play doh. I can't believe I paid for shipping, but it was cheaper with shipping at Toys R Us than without it at Amazon. Plus this princess and horse stuff is selling out everywhere, so I went ahead and shopped online even though I did I have to pay shipping.
