If you could redo one room...

which would it be? What do you not like about the current condition and how would you change it?


Mine would be my bedroom ... I can't stand the old French Provincial furniture that I have right now (the pale yellow with Gold trim ... yuck!) and nothing else is put together very well.
I want a much more traditional wood set with clean lines and not a lot of fancy stuff and I'd want the colors done in a cream/rose/green combination ... new paint (Love stripes on the wall), new curtains, and bed linens. Kind of a combination of floral and stripes I think. It's only my room so I don't have to worry about going to girly.

Laundry room, more organized new floor and more storage is needed. I was just thinking about this last night.

The kitchen. It is filled with dh and the kids' junk. Also, I have a really crappy 1970s table and chairs that were ready for the dumpster years ago. I would love to have some space to do my stuff and a new solid wood dining set.

My sewing room. I finally got my fabric organized 99% but really need an area for the kids to play without invading MY space.

I don't know if I can pick just one room. If I can only re-do it and not add on or anything, I'd pick our living room. I have never liked the fabric on the sofa and love seat. We need new carpet, new curtains, and I'd like a different entertainment center for our television (52" flat screen) that we got for Christmas.

I would redo my basement. Its not really one room.....BUT I would definately redo it so that is was done the way that I want it to be, not how someone else wanted it to be

I could use some bedroom furniture too Elaine. I don't have a headboard at all, my dresser is kinda kewl retro thing from GW and same with my nightstand/end table. Right now I would just settle for a house so Parker and I wouldn't have to share a room any more.

I'm so with you Krista! Our apartment is only two bedroom so while I call the other room, "the kids room", the reality is that Brenna's dresser is in my room and she sleeps in there with me most nights.

my kitchen hands down, no counter space and the cupboards are just plaine old and yucky!
