So Jimmy having Aspergers as with most autistic conquering fear is very hard. Swimming is a big issue for Jimmy. He has tried in the past years to teach himself and has even mastered holding his breath but is so fearful of trusting me to help him learn to swim properly. I was talking to his daycare person about this and come to find out she teaches special needs children to swim. The best part: it's free with the official diagnosis paperwork!
This is important because of just having purchased the camper and will be spending A LOT of time camping and around water this coming year this couldn't have come at a better time.
I spoke to Jimmy about it and he's super excited and he said that she's nice and is good to him. He even mentioned wanting her to teach him to stand on his head under water...that would be a huge mile stone. I just want him to know how to swim.
