Wanting to get portraits done.

Where have you gotten portraits done? Were you happy with the quality of the portraits? What about the price?

I'm actually dreading this ... The last time I took my kids to have portraits done was a year and a half ago and my kids were MONSTERS. Brenna and Zach both ran allover the place and Haley was in a horrible mood because I chose her clothes and wouldn't let her cake make-up on her face. *sigh*
Hoping for better behavior this time...

I've used Picture People, Kiddie Kandids, JcPenney, Sears and a professionsal Studio named Nelson's Photography. Overall Nelsons because they were able to do touchups however price was high. Overall best price and picture for the money for me has always been JCpenney's.

We usually got to Target (their online coupons are awesome), but I took them to the Picture People when the babies were 6 months and they were so patient and sat and waited for Simon to stop shriekining, I went back for 1st year pics. They have coupons online and they again, were very patient and got some great pics.

I loved the Picture People but we don't have one in our area any more. You can find great coupons for them as well.
I used a professional to get PJ's newborn pictures done but went with Penny's for his 3mo and I think that they do an excellent job and are very inexpensive as well.

Walmart sometimes runs those $7 (or less) one pose specials. If haley gives you grief, you can bargain with her. She can do her thing for the $7 walmart pics and she has to do what you want for her family pics. Then she can hand out all her caked up make up pics to her friends and you can have your nice pics.

We found a photog who works well with Bradley at Sears, and have done all but his hospital and 2 month pics with her. Sears does fairly good deals and I love their Smile Saver club (no sitting fees!)

Walmart has great specials and they do a good job. I have also used JC Penneys and liked them but they were to a little pricey. Good luck getting some great pics!!
