Re: Does the media make heroes of killers?
IMO, yes!And it's a shame too, because the person who kills other people wantonly and often brutally will get book and movie deals galore. This Alabama professor who killed three people and injured 3 others has three novels she wants to publish and you can bet someone will, too. They may be crap, but she's going to get every thing she ever wrote published. She will have a movie of the week, a documentary and books written about her. She will be the subject of American fascination. And for what? Winning a Nobel Prize? An amazing feat of athletic ability? Winning an Oscar? Saving a whole airplane full of people?
No, for killing people in a bout of selfish, childish rage because she didn't get what she wanted. She hasn't done a single selfless, charitable act with no hope of recognition or reward in her whole life, I'll bet. I'll bet she was a selfish, spoiled child, because that's what she's acting like now. I hope they throw the book at her and prohibit the book and movie deals, because this is not the sort of person any right thinking person wants to be or wants their child to grow up to be. This is not the sort of person who is a benefit to society or a credit to the human race. I have no idea why our country has such a fascination with the worst in humanity. I wish that would change so these cold blooded killers would get exactly what they deserve - nothing.

I would agree with the topic.
Yes really the media i.e,t.v channels are making them as a ideal person by over hyping them. They are showing the real situation by help of artists.people are seeing them as hero you mean that ,"we can't fight or talk against him,if they speak, the killer would kill us" saying public like this.
