A controversial abortion billin Utah meant to prevent planned assaults on unborn children may have opened a loophole that could allow women to be charged with murder if their reckless behavior causes miscarriages.

Hopefully, this won't spread outside Utah. I wonder if they have defined what "reckless" behavior is. Smoking? Drinking before the woman knew she was pregnant? Not taking prenatal vitamins? Playing sports? I swear my old dr would have turned me in because I refused to take fish oil suppliments. I can see this going really negatively against all women who miscarry. Usually 9,999,999 out every one million women are not going to hire some guy to beat them up so they can have a miscarriage. Even women who want abortions are really unlikely do what this young woman did. It seems like a reactionary law. Most miscarriages happen due to genetic anomalies that no one can control.
