How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Do you send your kids to school in green? Make corn beef and cabbage? Or drink green (or other) beer?

I usually make corned beef and cabbage. Sometimes, I make special dresses for the girls, but this year I was too tired.

Re: QOTW: March 14-21

For me no celebration, the kids like to talk about leprachans and the pot o gold at the end of the rainbow. I do talk a little about about how the saint attempted to drive the snakes out of Ireland holding true and telling them there really were no snakes in Ireland and it was an attempt at conversion into religion....

My kids all spend the day with some green on (to avoid pinches) but other than that, we don't do anything ... never been one to have to go have a green beer.

absolutely nothing. We are not Irish, have none in us and I don't see the point in making outfits for one days worth of wear (maybe if we were Irish we 'd go to parades and Irish fest etc )

Karen, everyone is Irish on St. Paddy's Day! I know - I'm Irish! We wear green and maybe do a craft if Ally wants to, but really it's not a big holiday even for us of Irish decent. Just another party day! LOL!
