Getting ready for school

Thread Starter
How much time do your kids need in the morning to get ready for school? Do they ride the bus or get driven?

Haley gets herself up at 6:00 to catch a 6:40 bus. She picks all her clothes the night before or she would need another half an hour to an hour.

I wake Zachary up at 7:40 and have him waiting at the door (we can see our bus-stop) by 8:15. Some days that is pushing it with him because he is so easily distracted by the TV or his little sister.

Re: Getting ready for school

All the children take their showers and pick out their clothes the night before. We also make sure that they have their shoes and bags ready.
The boys wake up at 6:15 and catch the bus by 6:30am
The girls wake up at 7:20 and get the bus by 7:50

Also, they all eat breakfast at school so that saves us a lot of time soooo worth the little extra money!

Re: Getting ready for school

We get up at 6:30 and are out the door by 7:15 (or 7:30 the mornings Katie goes too)

We do nothing other than baths/ showers the night before.

Re: Getting ready for school

All of us pick our clothes out the night before and take shower in the evening. We wake at 6:50 and we are out the door at 7:30, one eats breakfast during this time as well. No tv or anything to distract anyone. Both go to daycare and then Jimmy is transported to school.

Re: Getting ready for school

I get Emily up between 6:30 and 6:40, and we are usually on our way by 7:30. She rides to school with me since she goes to school where I work, which I love!

Re: Getting ready for school

Normally, Rick leaves at 5:30 and drops Drew off oat his parnets house. School dosn't start until 7:20, so hew showers and eats there. Since Rick is off work, we have been waking him at 6:15 and he get to Grandma's about 6:45. Still time to eat before walking to school. If it's raining, we take him earlier so he can catch the bus.

Ally wakes between 6:45 and 7. If she's riding the bus, we are at the stop at 7:40. If not, we leave the house by 8 and I drive her.

Re: Getting ready for school

My son gets up at 7am,makes his bed, eats breakfast, brushes his teeth & washes his face, gets dressed and gets his backpack and shoes ready before I drive him to school by 7:50. If he has a few minutes to spare in the morning he watches a few minutes of tv or reads.

Re: Getting ready for school

Our house rises at 6am and all of the kids are out the door by 8pm. Our oldest leaves for the bus at 6:30 and it's insane! Though it gets them ready for life!
