Explaining the Easter Bunny

In Christianity, Easter marks the day that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead. So why then do so many equate the holiday with a giant rabbit that, somehow, lays multicolored eggs? What exactly is the origin of the Easter Bunny?

Re: Explaining the Easter Bunny

How can the Easter Bunny NOT stop, Karen? Just curious. My kids have always known the true meaning of Easter, just as they have Christmas. But we still celebrate the more "commercial" aspects. albeit much less than most

Re: Explaining the Easter Bunny

When Alyssa was 1 She got a huge basket from my mom & my MIL. I decided I wasn't making one too cause there was enough crap in there for awhile. And I just never started making one so they don't get one.

This year the "Easter Bunny" stopped by my parents early cause "he forgot" where we live and my parents dropped off a big family basket for everyone.

Alyssa knows the truth about the bunny Katie believes grandmas story about him forgetting where we live.
