Protecting your privacy on Facebook can feel like a full-time job. The social network has made a habit of tweaking its privacy policies with some regularity -- and in many cases, it's up to you to take proactive steps in order to keep your info out of the public eye.

Protecting Your Privacy with Facebook's New Features - PCWorld

Andrea drew my attention to this on FB. Snopes had nothing, however, I did find this article on PC World. I have tried to find this "Instant Personalization" tab and have not been able to locate it. Maybe it has not been activated for everyone yet. At any rate, PC World is a site I trust on these issues, so I am sharing this with you.

Go to Account (upper right hand corner). Click on Privacy Settings. Then click on Applications and Websites. At the very bottom is the Instant Personalization. Uncheck the box.

I did it last night about 11:30. I didn't know anything about it until I saw a post from my SIL.
