CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A North Carolina waitress is out of a job after griping on her Facebook page about the $5 tip she got from a couple who sat at their table for three hours. The waitress says the customers kept her at work an hour after she was supposed to clock out.

While she shouldn't have named the restuarant, losing her job was over the line, in my opinion. These people took up her table, wasted her time and did not compensate her for it. In my opinion, THEY should be the ones being blasted.

This was a stupid move on her part. If you want to see all the stupid things people post as their status on facebook, go to - Openbook - Connect and share whether you want to or not

You can type in whatever you like and see everyone's status who used those words. This should be set to "I hate my boss".

The point is, those customers stiffed her. She has every right to be pissed about it. And I hope where ever they are, they feel guilty as sin for not compensating her. Yeah, she was dumb to name the restuarant, but I still don't see where it's was worth firing her. Wait staff work HARD and deserve to be tipped appropriately if their service was good.

I didn't say they did the right thing in stiffing her, but posting the name of the restaurant online was a bad idea. Maybe she shouldn't have been fired over it, but it is never a good idea to make your place of employment look bad in a public forum if you want to keep your job. She could have saved herself this misery by checking her privacy settings.
