My old friend from high school and her dh were injured in a car accident that killed her mother and sister. I haven't seen Jeannette in 25 years, but I remember her mother and sister well. I wish I knew what I could do for them.

i forgot to mention, her sister, Patty, used to be my cousin. She divorced my cousin, but they shared two daughters.

Send a card or letter, letting your friend know you are thinking of her, and letting her know you are there for her. Sometimes, that's worth more than anything.

I don't know where she lives. I haven't seen her since high school. She lives back in Kansas and I didn't find out her mom and sister died until after the funeral. I did leave a note of condolence on the funeral home web page for her.
