Drew was incredibly nervous last night. This morning he actually jumped out of bed and ran right into the shower to get ready for his first day of high school! (Something that never happens! LOL!) This morning he was nervous and excited all at the same time.
It was weird, looking at him. He's not a kid anymore, but he's not an adult, either (altho he certainly looks more like 18 than 16). I tried not to make too big a deal out of it for his sake; just told him to enjoy all HS had to offer. But I cried when he left at 6:30am to walk to a friends house to catch the bus.
He finally made it to HS!
I'm happy and sad at the same time.

They seem to think it is cool that he is 16 and will be driving soon. AH! The joys of having a teen!
