You all know my mom is disabled and receives SSD and my dad just applied for SS and he is telling me that because my mom was married longer than 10 years to my father that she gets to double her SS income.

Has anyone ever heard this?

Your best bet is to call your local SS office and ask them. Tell them what is going on and they should be able to help you out.
