I hope that you all can help! I was inseminated on the 17 & 18. well they said to test if I had not started by today and I haven't started. last month I started 3 days early the RE knows that I ovulated. Has anyone ever got a - and then a few days latter got a +? I thought for sure that I was. but it was - .

I have heard of false negatives,

I am so sorry that after waiting so long (and I know the last 2 weeks were 3 years long for you ) that you didn't get the answer you wanted straight away.

But hopefully it is just being shy and will show up positively tomorrow or the next day. I've got Aunt Flo here in OZ, I just won't let her go for the next few days OK

Yes, I have heard of that. It happened to me when I was pregnant last summer. One test said, negative and I took another 10 minutes later and it was postive. Sometimes the tests are defective. Good luck! My prayers are with you!

Yep, it's possible to get a negative when you are pregnant.

Last time I was pregnant, the test was negative when I was pregnant.

This time I used Clear Blue Easy. On the box it says that you can test 4 days before your expected period and got a positive. When I had an HCG count on Tuesday, it was only 16.3 and I did NOT take it first thing in the morning.
I would suggest you get that brand and test again.

especially this early, it is very common to get a -,

you can always do the blood test at the doc to be conclusive...or you can have a cool glass of water, and sit back and relax while you wait for time to go by......
(which is the hardest thing to do!)
