Once again I will get the picture there soon but we all know what the turtle sandbox looks like.

Christian is getting this sandbox this summer. My cousin had one when she was little and I remember playing in it. I think for Christian's first sandbox that it will be a good one!

What does everyone else think!

I was just wondering if it was worth the purchase...since the kids grow so fast. Little Tikes also has a bigger purple dinosaur sandbox that is for kids up to age 6. I wonder if that's a better idea?
Check out the Little Tikes site for a picture of the turtle sandbox and the dinosaur sandbox.

Watch out

Be sure to cover the box when it is not in use.
I know from experience that cats love to leave "gifts" in sandboxes. Our neighbor has maybe 10 cats.
Also, here in the south we have mosquitoes the size of Texas that seem to love the sand as well. We take A deetless spray or liquid and rake it through the sand. It won't hurt the kids, and it keeps the mosquitoes down too.

We found one these at a grage sale when Alisha was a toddler, we paid $10.00 for it. She used it as a swimming pool first , then a sand box. We had it for a long time. Even when she got bigger, friends in the neighborhood would come over and play in the sand they would sit on the side or in the grass, which of course I would spray them so bugs wouldn't bite them and put a blanket down.

They also used the lid for king of the hill or to sing on like a stage.

Drew loved his and played with it until we moved last year. Great if you have an apt. with a patio, like we did.

I think Shyanne would have lots of fun with one of those, in a couple months maybe!!
I do think they are a good sandbox.

We have one and since we move so much it is great! Gavin loves it. We got ours at a yard sale also and I only paid $5! Maddie will use it and then it will be a flower planter. Also make sure that the lid is on the corect way and totally covers the sand. Last summer it was open like an inch, it rained and I did not realize it. All the sand got yucky and turned green! Yuck!
