Postpartum Acne

I never had an acne problem until after childbirth! I mean, I'm 31 years old and have acne! UGH .. this is bad. I don't have a lot of acne .. but one or two pimples a month is too much in my opinion!

Anybody else summer from acne after having a baby??

Only once a month, just a little bit and even that is too much for me!

Yep same problem here to Roxanne!! I figure it is because I am not on the the pill anymore which really helped with acne. Now i get zits around my chin area and they take forever to clear up!! I hate it to!! I wash my face twice a day with Neutorgena soap and just use Oil Of Olay moistuizer. I tried Clean and Clear topical blemish cream but it never seemed to help.

I haven't experienced that but I'm sure it is just due to hormones and stuff. Are any of you on Ortho Tri-cyclen? When I was on that bc pill my skin was so clear and pretty all the time.

Can't take OTC .. breastfeeding. I went to a dermotologist .. because I freaked out about having a pimple after years and years of none and he said to only use Cetaphil or witch hazel to clean your face. And only water based foundation. But one or two a month is MORE than anough for me!!! UGH

Here too.. But it is only one or two here and there. And I am not on ant extra hormones...mine are enough right now!

I forgot you were bf'ing Roxanna! I definately think it is better to not take bc while bf'ing.

I don't take the pill even though I'm not breastfeeding anymore. I never liked it. BUT my skin was clear...

I always get my 'monthly ' pimple and i agree that is too much, I never had any skin problems until I hit my 30's and I had my kids in my 20's but I don't like it what ever is causing it.

Re: Postpartum Acne

It's a fact- curing acne can never be achieved by tackling one of the many factors responsible for acne. If you've ever tried to cure your acne using one-dimensional treatments like antibiotics or even detox diets and failed it's probably because you tackled only one aspect of the disease. Not only will this system teach you the only way to prevent your acne from being formed, you will also learn through acne treatment .

Re: Postpartum Acne

Ha! I feel bad for none of you! LOL!!! I am pregnant and my hormones are currently going nuts! I have always broken out some right around AF but omg - I have like 4 pimples on my face right now and I want to hide! I am just hoping that they go away & stay away! It really is annoying, isn't it? I am currently using that Belli face wash and I do think that is helping some.

My skin has become incredibly dry lately, but I use a moisturizer to help.  The dryness seems to have lead to some increase in acne though. :(  I hate it too!
