I think I am going to see if the Piglet costume I made for Liz last year will fit her this year. If it doesn't then maybe I will turn her into Tigger or Pooh Bear

I think the easiest outfits we ever did were back when the first 2 girls were 4 and 2 (they're now nearly 20 and 18 and don't like to be reminded that they used to think trick or treating was cool but anyway. . .) one girl was red and one was blue. They wore striped toe socks, tights and one of their dad's big turtle neck sweaters. Each one wore a striped toucan nose and that was it. The over long arms hung past their fingers and they flapped them like wings. I think they were adorable. With our youngest, the only boy, it's always been so much easier and cheaper. We've done the cowboy and that took no time or money since he was into Toy Story that year. We did the Soldier of the Lord and he wore his armor set and carried his sword. We've done Superman and Batman with pajama sets and last year was Wolverine from the X-men with black pajamas and felt. For the girls we've done Power Rangers, Fairy Princesses and Mod Girls with go go boots and mini skirts. The hardest costumes we ever did were wolves. Brown tights and again with Dad's brown sweaters, but we made the masks from heavy construction paper complete with noses that stuck out and individual teeth. But the girls made them theirselves with a little help and they loved it. Hope you have fun trick or treating. God's Blessings. Noelle

Meagan -- for the bumblebee, just get some black footed PJs and some fuzzy yellow fur from the craft store. Cut the fur into strips, then just quickly tack it onto the jammies with a stitch here and a stitch there. You could probably even get the jammies a couple sizes too big and stuff them to fatten him up.

Then I'd think you could get a black headband from the dollar store, some black pipe cleaners, and paint a couple of yellow styrofoam balls to make his antenna.

I think it might work!

Angie,

I just ADORE the duck costume. Devon would LOVE that...to bad I am just not talented enough to make it.

Yes Dawn I thought I would do something similar. I am gonna see what garanimals has because they are cheap. I think Gavin will be a bee and Maddie a lady bug. Both pretty simple!

We have decided to let Alexander be Bob The Builder, since he loves him so well. We figure it will be an easy costume to put together and would be clothes he could wear through the winter (overalls, flannel shirt, boots) and we can get him a toy tool belt and hat to wear and then wrap it for one of his Christmas gifts.
