Gooey Gunk
Kid-craft expert John E. Thomas shares a ghoulish way to keep children occupied with Halloween crafts.
Materials:
1 cup cool water
1 cup white school glue
7 to 10 drops food coloring
1-1/3 cups warm water
4 tsp. laundry booster
* Note: Similar material costs around $5 for four ounces. This homemade gunk costs only 30 cents for 20 ounces!
Steps:
In a mixing bowl, add cool water to the glue, then drop in food coloring.
In a separate bowl, stir the laundry booster into the warm water.
Next, pour the glue mixture into the warm water. Knead this new mixture for two minutes and you'll have gooey gunk. For a nice twist, add plastic spiders, worms, snakes, etc. to the gunk. From hgtv.com
