Okay, I'll try to go room by room....Roxanna, let me know if I leave anything out, okay?

First of all, we carve between 5 and 12 jack-o-lanterns every year...I'll post a link for great patterns!! We carve one for each theme room.....
My dining room: we set the table with rubber rats all over it, and eyeballs in all the plates, a black wrought iron candleabra in the center and then I cover it all (scarcely) with fake spider webs. Our table stays this way all month

Over in the corner of my dining room I build a monster...I use a dress form or an outdoor light on a stand and then use swimming noodles(you know those long styrofoamie things you use in the pool) and tape to mold broad shoulders then I cover all that with a black table cloth from the

store. On the top on the light I put a mask that we bought years ago for a costume party, its really creepy and there is my monster! No feet or hands but it doesn't matter because I put something in front of him so you can't see his feet. I put a fake fire and a cauldron on top of it in front of the monster.
Fake fire instructions are as follows: two empty paint cans stacked on top of each other and wrap orange lights around them and then take wood that I cut up from an old pallet that I got for free and I prop it around the paint cans..some light comes out and it looks like there is a fire under the wood, then I put the cauldron on top and put it all in front of the monster. And then I put a carved jack-o-lantern, with a rat or monster carved on it in the entrance to the dining room and that room is done!!!
