For those of us who celebrate Thanksgiving.....do you cook a big Thanksgiving Dinner? or do you go *home* for Thanksgiving and take your special dish? if so what is your specialty?

Well .. we usually have a nice dinner here at home .. just the five of us. We go home at Christmas time and that is enough for us!

Kirstie-Raie ALWAYS makes green bean casserole and Chase bakes a chocolate cake!

We do a big dinner here... Jim laughs because every year, I try at least one new recipe. I always cook way too much food, but I love it.

Always a big dinner!! However, the location always changes. One year we had my parents here, then we went home to my inlaws the next, then brought "meals on wheels" (we brought everything to make T-giving dinner to my parents house in MI b/c my Mom was just out of the hospital) and last year my in-laws brought the 3 nieces out & we had a HUGE dinner, went Christmas shopping and dh & I took the older 2 girls to a hockey game (there's no way the littlest one - 4 y/o would have lasted there!) I having the girls here!

We usually have the traditional dinner - I make some mean garlic mashed potatoes! But I think the most interesting break from tradition was my in-laws had Deep Fried Turkey and Prime Rib for Thanksgiving dinner. It was really yummy! The turkey was very moist, not greasy at all. (need drooling smiley here!)

It used to only be me and Jerry so we didn't do a whole lot...now that Liz is older, and we have a room mate, I think I will cook a turkey....or do something....only one problem how the heck do you do a turkey dinner??? I need practice for Christmas time so I guess I had better start learning. I have never cooked a turkey dinner before
