Construction zone birthday party

For my sons 1st birthday I had everything in a construction zone theme. I made his birthday cake ..all I did was make a chocolate cake and cut it make it fit into the bed of a Tonka dump truck added a few gummy worms here and there then frosted it kinda messy to make it look like a load of dirt. For my sons individual cake I did the same thing but put it in a small dump truck. The birthday hats were hard hats that I found at a party store for like $1 each.I used construction vehicles for the table decorations and in all the little dump truck I filled with gummy worms!!It was so cute!!

That was such a good idea!!! You could even do some of those things for a Bob the Builder party too!! Thanks for sharing Crystal

Ohh I am getting ideas!!!! Gavin is a major tool/construction freak and I think that would work out nicely for his 4th birthday! I really liked the hard hat idea! THANKS!

I have also seen this cake made in a large rectangle cake pan with a construction scene on top. A few matchbox dump trucks, extra piles of the cookie mixture, etc.

This theme has alot of things that can go with it and even if your not very creativy you can do this because it's dirt...make it messy!
