ATTENTION!!! Costume Contest....How many ADULTS would want to participate??

I wanted to have a contest for Halloween....but a door decorating contest well, a lot of people don't decorate their doors and a constume contest for the kids is out of the question because well....IMO they would ALL win!!! They are all soooo cute!!!
So, what do you guys think of an ADULT costume contest??? I need to know how many people would be interested. And I would need judge volunteers, but PM me if you want to be a judge...I think that a private judges panel would be better and no one would get there feelings hurt.
Tara or Dawn or Wendy or Meagan or ANYONE who thinks that I sould not be doing this pleeeeeese let me know. I'm still a rookie remember!!
You could dress up as anything, as long as it is tasteful, (please nothing obscene) and you have to ne willing to submit a photo somehow. Otherwise I guess that would be about all the rules. I personally would prefer a homemade type costume to a rental but I guess either one would be okay. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now this I want to see. Please be nice to your poor classmates who live in countries that DON"T do Halloween. I would love to see lots and lots of Pic's of you guys in your cossies as well as the pic's of your kids.

Okay guys if we get enough people participating this could be really fun!!!
DH/SO are invited also!! You could do a couple theme, like Bonnie and Clyde.....or you are Pnut butter and a slice of bread and he is jelly and a slice of bread...see where I'm going with this?? They don't have to be scary or related to Halloween just dress up and send us the pictures!!!!
I will let you know if we are going to do this after I get some input!!

P.S. Thanx Stacey!!! I'm in too!! maybe even Lance (my DH)

I would love to particapate, only problem...I have webtv how would I get the picture to you? Snail mail, but then it might not get there in time...let me know I have a great idea for my costume this yr.

Rebecca, I suppose you could mail it to one of us who has a scanner (sorry I don't) but you can also have them developed at several different places that will put them online for you....I will find out more abou that!!
Leah, I was going to keep the judges a secret just to make sure no one would be put in a bad position. It really doesn't matter to me, but if you want to resign I understand, otherwise, you can be a judge if we have this contest!!

Rebecca...WalMart and Target both will develop your flim and host it online....you can go and retrieve the pictures and send them where ever...try talking to them about that...do you think that you might be able to do that??

Okay guys....there seems to be a lot of interest, but more people want to be judges than participate.....I need more participation to make this happen.....so talk to your fellow BabyU'ers and lets get us a contest going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF WE HAVE THE CONTEST.....I would like to have the pictures submitted by 11/01/02 and give the judges a couple of days to decide and then I will announce the winners and give out the prize by Monday 11/04/02.
First place will be a gift certificate, its not much, but better than nothing. And if we can get enough participation....we may have a first place couples theme and a first place individual costume....but we still don't have enough people signed up:

I will have to talk to Court and see what our finances our. But if there is the money I would love to participate...don't know about Court though. Shelia in the past when we have done photo contests we have set up a poll for voting and that is another suggestion of how to do it, but I think I like the idea of impartial judges better.

Oh if you do this is there any way to have a later date by which the pictures have to be submitted? Our digital camera broke and I would have to get the film developed.

Yes absolutely Meagan...I am going to move the deadline for pictures, I will make sure that we have plenty of time and I am going to see if I can get some volunteers with scanners to mail the pictures to and get them posted....I'll give more definate updates after I get all the info.

Shelia I will take part in dressing up for the contest sounds like a lot of fun. I also have a scanner and can resize pictures.

I went NUTS yesterday at the store buying hallowe'en props. This is our first Hallowe'en at home (we usually go to my aunts) so we didn't have many decorations. And yes, I got some things to go with my costume.....

But one way or the other, I can scan and resize pictures without a problem.

Im going to try to get my picture on here by the deadline. But my camera for some reason wont let me put the pictures on the computes. So I will keep trying.
