TTC

Me and my fiance (we'll be married on July 1) have been trying unsuccessfully for 2 months so far. I always thought that it would be so easy to conceive, but I think it is going to be a bit harder b/c I have endrometreosis (sp?) I hope it doesn't take forever!!!

I have a 13 mos old boy and we started trying for our 2nd. just two weeks ago. It took us 6 months the 1st. time, but I always thought I got pregnant because we got married (it happened two weeks after our honeymoon!).
I´m new at this forum and still don´t know well how it works.

Trying forever!!!

Hi! This is my first day here. I am 25 and don't have any children. I have been trying since I got married (four years ago). I have been pregnant twice, the last one two years ago next month, and miscarried both times. Now, I am taking Clomid for ovulation and progesterone to support the pregnancy if it happens.

I have very irregular cycles, ranging from 27 days to 38 days. Since I started on the Clomid, they have been around 30 days. Today is day 34 and I am hoping it has happened, but I feel kind of crampy. I am afraid that if I am, I am miscarrying again, and would rather not know. I will wait until Monday and if I still haven't started, I will go get a blood test (my pregnancies don't show up on home tests).

Wish me luck!!!!

TTC
Dear Wolfy,
As I did not find myself on your list, I thought I can write here some words because I'm in the same TTC family.
So, me and my DH are TTC since May 2001 using natural methods, after I had a miscarrige in May 2000. Until now we haven't been so lucky but we decided that we will not seek professional help unless it doesn't happen till the January 2002.

New here and TTC

Hello everyone...

My name is Lona (26) my hubby Joey (24) and I had tried for a year and a half to get pregnant. We finally did this past March but we lost our son, Anthony, June 1st. We have been trying again. But of course no luck. I am not willing to go through the
1 1/2 of negative test results again. So my doc has began looking at a few things with me. I am lucky if I get my period 2 times a YEAR. But we have an appt on Sept 28th to see if I have this condition called PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). If I do have that, having a baby will be a science.. PCOS is a condition that has a lot of different factors involved in it. Such as menstrual disturbance, hair and skin problems, obesity, cycst (many), as well as other factors. I am not sure if I saw anything on here about that. I am not willing to go on Clomid...and that seems to be the drug hot on the market right now. So I have been doing my own research on this. Well I look forward to visiting here often..

Lona, Never say never. My SIL has PCOS and a beautiful 2 yr old little girl, that was conceived without medical intervention. Just curious, why are you not willing to go on clomid?
Shona - that is sooo great that your SIL was able to have a baby. There is one more reason to make me look on the bright side. I love hearing stories of people who were able to have children without meds, while having problems(such as PCOS).

I will not take clomid because I have heard many people tell me the bad side effects they had, taking it and not getting pregnant, and I am just not a big fan of med in general. I like "practicing" a lot better. Although, we are only in the beginning stages of finding out why we have not been having any luck. As time goes on if we are not successful I of course would, against my feelings, go on meds. Just because having a family is soo important to my husband and me.
I'm glad I could give you something to look on the brighter side with. And I understand about the meds. I wasn't trying to be nosey, just curious.
Shona no I don't consider that nosey, heck that is how we get to know people is by asking questions. Have a great day...

Good Lona, thanks

My Dh and I have decided to try for #4 this month after debating for awhile if we wanted anymore. With 3 boys it can get kind of hectic at times. We tried for 2 1/2 years to get pregnant with our first and went through all of fertility treatments that I read about on these boards and after all of that the doctors said that we would not be able to have children together because my Dh and I both had problems. They litterally told us not to waste our money on artificial insemination or invitro. So we stopped all of the meds and taking temps and we just prayed that God would give us a family and the next month I was pregnant. I got pregnant right away with the next 2 also and then we took a break. So I look forward to chatting with all of you and hopefully we'll all move over to the PG boards quickly!
