I want to share a fun tip to help shed pregnancy weight.
A few weeks ago my sister and mother and myself all bought ourselves pedometers (step counter). It counts the number of steps you take. We decided to start a fun competition by keeping track of how many steps we take each day and then compare them at the end of each week.
Of course there needs to be a small reward of some sort, and your interests may vary. We all like music, so the person who wins gets a new song download for their mp3 player (or iPod) which is paid for by the other two.
Some other ideas we wrote down included the winner getting a massage, manicure, pedicure, spa facial, clothing (socks, shirt, scarf, etc.), a new kitchen appliance or utensil that you've been wanting, CD, DVD, movie theater pass, perfume, body lotion, or some sexy new lingerie!
You could have milestone rewards for whoever has the most steps in the first month or 60 days, etc. The rewards can get larger if you have more people involved since everyone pitches in a small amount of the cost (except the winner, of course). Also, having more people involved will keep you motivated and offer a support group, which is always great!
Be creative and try to avoid rewarding yourself with things like food which could defeat the entire purpose of all your exercising. Most of all, have fun and stick with it!
