So Today is my first official day off ...

since Christmas ... and I lucked out and don't have 2 of 3 kids home ... gotta get tons done.  This place looks like a tornado went through. lol

My goals for the day...

Dejunk!!  I want to do a sweep of every room and get as much "trash" (this includes anything I think we don't need) out to the dumpster.

I want to tackle the pile of laundry ... thinking of making a big trip down to the laundromat ... I don't do it often because I have use of Chad's washer and dryer but I'd like to make it a fast process today and also get the blankets washed.

I also just need to do a mass clean of the entire apartment ... putting things where they belong, wiping everything down, and vac. all the floors.

It's not going to be a fun day (by far) but I'm hoping to feel like I have a little more control when it's done with.

Good Luck! I started yesterday got Two rooms done & a TON of laundry. I need to do the girls room but will do it when Kev is home so he can keep them occupied while I go through. :)

Cleaning house so close after Christmas.  Bwahahahahaha!  No really, I have to get ours done before Friday when the leasing agent is coming to go over the property before we sign the new lease.  *sigh*  Lots to do and not enough time to do it.  Sound familiar?  LOL!

I didn't get everything done ... I made a huge trip to the dumpster and another to Goodwill so some of the piles are gone!  I also cleaned the kitchen and diningroom (with Haley's help) and Haley vac. the stairs for me.  It was a successful day even if I didn't accomplish everything on the list ... I just couldn't make myself go to the laundromat. *sigh*

You know I think that is the first time I've heard you mention Haley helping around the house with cleaning.  That's great she helped.

I really think it is always a great idea to let the kids help with the chores around the house. Btw, how old is Haley?

Haley is 14 now ... she's had assigned chores for years now ... getting her to do them is next to impossible!

Elaine, I know what you mean.  I can rarely get Drew to do anything around here.  My typical response these days?  Fine, then I can't drive you anywhere or do anything for YOU!  I get so tired of fighting about it.

 

Bill cleaned the kitchen (which was mostly clean anyway) and he scrubbed the floor!  THANK YOU, GOD!  It was nasty.  He also straightened up the livingroom, but I still need to go in there and really clean, ya know?

 

Since it is pouring rain here today, housecleaning is definitely on the agenda
