Half @ssing

Pardon the term if you find it offensive but that is exactly what I feel like Haley is doing ... with everything!  She half does her chores, half does her school work, and half watches her brother & sister.  On top of the half @ssing, she gets defensive and down right rude if you call her out on it ... I'm not enjoying the teenage years. She expects so much (and is a monster when she doesn't get it) and gives so little.  It's painful to say because I love her so much but my life is more peaceful & happy when she's not around. *sigh*

hugs....  Tessa is starting into this phase I think.  Whenever she does a chore, she does it about halfway.  Then she gets mad at me when I make her finish or do some follow through.  I keep telling her half way is not good enough...

*hugs*  Only four more years.  Boy, that sounds like forever.  Too bad she is not old enough to get a job.  Then she would learn a thing or two and be out of your hair so much.

When she's old enough to find work and leave the house, then you will start missing all this odd experiencessmile.gif

Have to disagree.  Now that my teen is working, I seem to get even less work and family time from him.  While I understand that he wants time to do his thing with his friends, he needs to get some priorities.  *sigh*  The teen years are not easy for anyone that I have talked to.  I don't really miss Drew when he is at work (sad to say) because I always seem to be busy cleaning up after him anyway!  LOL!  Altho Iadmit it is a bit easier when he is not here.  At least there are no arguments.

Elaine, I think the half-a$$ thing is typical of teens.  I don't remember being that way, but my mom swears I was.  All of Drew's friends parents that I talk to say the same.  These days I'm not kidding when I say he has obnoxious teenager syndrome!

I'll be honest, I half assed is.  Not with school work but with chores.  Seriously if the chores looked done, i could get out the door faster with friends.

But now that I have children, I think I am going to regret doing that to my parents!
