Sorry I didn't get on yesterday to post this, but I was busy doing birthday stuff! LOL!
So, my baby girl is really not a baby anymore. She turned 10, officially a preteen! *faint* God, I can't believe it! We gave her a few of her gifts yesterday and the rest she will get Saturday at the family birthday dinner at Rick's parent house. She got an electronic bank that counts your money as you put it in. (She's been asking for a bank forever and this one is pretty cool, I must say.) I gave her a Fairy Barbie, which she managed to figure out how to get the wings to work after DH and I failed miserably! LOL! We also got her the U-Build Sorry game and Twister Hoopla. She and daddy played the Sorry game last night only to discover they were playing it wrong! Told her we would try the Twister game later, maybe today.
Drew took her to lunch at his job, Steak N Shake and she loved it! I thought it was very sweet of him to do that. Just the 2 of them. I dropped them off, went to pick up JJ from work and came back about 30 minutes later when Drew had to start work. She had a blast. She wants to go out to dinner Friday night (a local place that's pretty cheap), so I made her baked Ziti last night. It was pretty good.
All in all, I think she had a good birthday. She got lots of emails, phone calls and messages on FB wishing her a happy birthday, so she's a pretty happy camper.
