Scary!

Tuesday morning Gary came home, I was at work. When he got to our house he found someone in our utility shead taking his circular saw and his tool box. Gary ran after him but didn't catch him and he dropped the tool box and saw. He called the police but there isn't much they can do since Gary didn't get a good look at him and he was wearing a hood.

Now, I'm scared to be alone with the twins. Gary put new locks on the door to the utility shead and added locks to the front and back door. We are going to look into getting a house alarm, but we can not afford one right now.

Our dogs died a few years back. Now we have Gumbo, a 9 pound shih-tzu. I don't know how he could do much besides bark.

I knew about Gumbo, didn't know the others were gone.  Hmmm... I'm thinking I'd be looking at the shelter for a nice big dog!

Its a good thing though Gary didn't catch up with that guy. Sometimes when you chase theives they would fight back which can just lead to even more serious problem.

That is scary Heather!

Wow!!  That is freaky!  I hope the person doesn't come back and leaves you and all of your stuff alone.

You are so right! I told him that he shouldn't have gone after the theif because he could have had a gun. He should have kept on driving and called 911. Maybe they would have cought him in the act and he wouldn't have risked his safety!

I hope he ddoesn't come back, either! We are scared, but Gary put extra locks on all of the doors and we will get an alarm system. We need to have someone come out to give us an estimate so we can save up for it.

That is right and those locks gonna be enough to keep that guy away. and don't think he's gonna ever come back either. Glad you're all alright though.

We had out alarm installed for free as a promotional thing.  Talk to the companies in your area to see if anyone is doing that.  We got a good basic system and only have to pay the monthly monitoring charge - although we did have to sign a 5 year contract, but we wanted the system anyway so no biggie.  It's a good way to get a basic system if a company is trying to establish themselves in your neighborhood.

Glad to hear that alarms have been finally installed in your house. Every house should have that installed on. The recession period is not over yet for burglars so its better to stay safe and secured, you'll never know what might happen when no one's around the house or even in your sleep.
