Valentine's Day Plans?

So, what, if anything, are you planning to do for Valentine's Day?

For your sweetie?  For your kids?  For yourself?

Rick and I are going camping at a new Renaissance Faire the weekend of the 18-20th, so that is our gift to ourselves.  I usually get the kids something small, just to let them know how much I love them.  A little candy or something silly.

We may go out to diner or get the kids some candy.  Valentines is not a big deal around here.

Not  a huge thing here but Stuart's bday is the 13th and this year the 14th is start of school spirit week so it's pajama day. (Bummer!) I may do something for the kids when they get home from school but probably not.

Valentines is ALWAYS a big deal here.  I kinda promote it as a time to let your loved ones know how much they mean to you.  It's pretty much about letting others know how much you love them - at least to us.

Rick however needs to come s up with a fairly good gift.  I'm easy to please, but I hope it's original.  Cook dinner that night; give me a coupon to do the housework; promise a a day with no kids - nothing fancy, just something I will really appreciate.

Same with us here Grace. Taking my and wife and kids for a walk at the park or do some picnics usually is enough for a Valentines Day for us. After all, what matters is that you get to spend some quality time with your family and just talk about random things and be silly and enjoy, lol.

Rick asked me today what i wanted for Valentine's Day.  Uh, thought we were going camping?  He says, "We are, but I still wanted to get you something special."  Is that sweet or what?  Told that as much as I appreciate the thought, we can't afford it.  Plus, just having a weekend all to ourselves will be MORE than enough.  We never seem to be able to get totally away anymore.

I'm sure he will do something for me - he usually does.  I just don't want him to spend money we don't have.

We aren't sure what we are doing yet.  My hubby doesn't know his schedule for next week until this Saturday.  We'll make plans depending on that schedule.

Chad and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day but I'm thinking of getting the kids each something small.

We went to  Valentine's Day party, so Rick bought me a beautiful black dress with red swirls w/ glitter.  Just gorgeous.  He shouldn't have spent the money, but it is so pretty I kept it!  LOL!
