Anyone talk to Maree lately?  This NZ quake has me worried for her family.  I know she has a lot of family in NZ.  Hopefully, they live far from the quake area.  I emailed her this morning.  I wish she were back. :o(

She's been posting on FB.  I'll send her a message thru them.

Chatted yesterday with her she's been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and expects it to be 2 more weeks. But they are trying to fix her so she's not in so often.

Were she really hit by the rubble or been injured due to that recent Earthquake?

No, she has really bad type 1 diabetes.  She spends a lot of time in the hospital because of it.  It's most of her family including her son and grandchildren that live in NZ.

Oh, I really thought it has really something to do with the earthquake. I pray she gets better soon though.

Maree spends more time in the hospital than out. She's an amazing person. I wish she were around more. frown.gif I also wish her good health.

That's really sad. Do we have a picture of her in this forum?

For some reason, her pics have been removed. frown.gif  I wonder of they didn't transfer when the site was redesigned.

Oh. It's alright Grace. Judging from your comments about her, she must have been a sweet friend. really pray she gets well soon and be able to join us here.

when she came here,  she had acute agoraphobia.  She went from being terrified of leaving her home  to getting a job and quickly rising to boss.  Then she got really sick and had to quit.  She's been an inspiration to us all.

That's going to take a lot of courage for someone to overcome agoraphobia and be able to rise to success. No doubt, she's an incredible woman. Wish I can still get the chance to know her. Do you know how she's been doing at this very moment?

Unfortunately, not.  She hasn't returned my emails.  I am guessing she's still in the hospital.

Lenora, I talked to her on FB this morning... She said she emailed you.  She is still hospitalized although out for the weekend for her birthday.  They are still trying to figure out why her bs won't stay stable for more than three weeks (but this time they were able to see for themselves it is nothing she is doing because the same thing happened while in the hospital).  She didn't know anyone in ChristChurch but Des does and he hasn't been able to get ahold of them.  I created a secret group on FB for BBU alums, and she posted an update on her life there.

I'm so sorry for both of them.  frown.gif  I hope she feels better and gets to go home soon.

The only thing we can do for her then is to keep including her name in our prayers.
